We call ourselves 'Chavalos Nica'. In English this means 'Nica Kids'. We are children of the poor of Nicaragua. Our families are poor. Our houses are not fine or big. Many of our mothers have no stove and cook our meals with wood fires outside of the house. Some of us have no electricity in our house, and some have no bathroom inside of the house. Many of our parents earn less than $1 a day.

But we are more than all of that. We are children of God and believe He has called us together in a group with a lifetime committment to make our country better. Together we study the Bible, share God's Word with other kids and adults, give away lots of Bibles, and go to school, and work hard on our English.

We are preparing to make a new revolution in Nicaragua.

Education is a problem large because schools public in Nicaragua are horrible and does not prepare you to be an educated person.

We are blessed to be able to attend private schools - priviledge normal for the rich people. A few of us are able to do this through the sacrifice of our parents; but most cannot. You can learn how we are able to do this by reading the information on "The Program" page.

There are more of us than you will find at this web site, but the others do not live in Granada. We who live here are very blessed to be near our teacher and use computers at her house for this web site. But those who are living in other cities and villages are also very a part of our revolution.

You too can become a part of our revolution. If interested write to jazmina at: jazmina @ chavalosnicas.com. (She's the girl with white blouse up).
