The Program
We call it 'the program'. It is our plan for life.
The first most important thing in our program is to learn about God and His promises and to practice believing Him so He can help us, and so we can teach this to others. When we believe as a group, we have seen many results like helping one sponsor to sell a house fast, another to get a better job, and even we get sponsors. When someone joins our group and he needs the help for school, we all pray and believe together and it is happening really quick that he get a sponsor. Our teacher support many students herself and we believe always for her to earn the money she need for this and she always get work when she need.
Why We Need Sponsors
Education in Nicaragua is replaced by other things less important. Our purpose is to put education before all the secondary problems of the Nicaragua's people. We need to help our country to her prosperity and a better economic level.
Kids can not finish secondary school because they need to work to help their poor families because they can not survive with little money, and food, and every day with bigger families.
The private schools are better than the public schools because in the private schools there is better education, although not the best as compared to other countries. We want have more private schools in our country to have more successful students and to move Nicaragua ahead.
The kids can't get into private schools because they haven't the sufficient money to pay all the expenitures needed in school (uniforms, notebooks, transport, backpack, shoes, and other things needed in class.) or because they need to support their family.
Kids need to study the secondary level in a private school because here the education is better and so they can prepare for university and as educated adults can work for change in Nicaragua.
In this country the public education can not meet the need of educating a student and preparing him or her for university.
The private education is the better because the teachers teach English, teach integrity, and have better conditions for the kids and their student development.
In Nicaragua the young who actually finish secundary are very few because the majority need work to support their families.
Many kids and many youths can't get a private education for economic reasons, because their parents don't have the necessary resourses to pay for a private school.
This needs to change in order to eliminate the poverty in Nicaragua and help the country to a better future. And we can get this with God's help and the help from the sponsors.
The Price We Pay
The program is not free for us. When we start we promise to buy a good future by working hard in school and to work to make a better Nicaragua when we finish the school. But don't worry. We still have a lot of fun.We are the chavalos, we are the hands and feet and the mouths for God and we are bringing His revolution to Nicaragua. That is our program.
